Driving with transport vehicles in city traffic is associated with increased accident risks due to limited visibility when turning and manoeuvring. Parked cars, narrow streets and pedestrians are additional obstacles. These hazardous situations cannot be completely prevented by using conventional camera systems and vehicle mirrors. Areas that cannot be seen due to blind spots can lead to collisions with obstacles or, in the worst case, with pedestrians. This also applies to a large extent to waste disposal and cleaning vehicles, for example.
This is why we have developed the AVS-360°, a comprehensive safety concept that dramatically reduces everyday potential hazards. The innovative system offers the driver an all-round view of the vehicle from a bird's eye perspective. The use of four (or three or six) wide-angle cameras, which use a special image processing technique to provide a bird's eye view of the vehicle, prevents blind spots from arising in the first place. The driver maintains a perfect overview in every situation.
